国际泳联(FINA, FULL Name: Fédération Internationale de Natation) is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and was founded in 1908 by swimming associations from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, and Sweden. With a membership of 209 associations across 5 continents, FINA is one of the largest international associations in the world. It is also an officially recognized international aquatic sports competition management organization by the International Olympic Committee. At the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, FINA is expected to have the highest number of gold medals and total medals awarded. It manages 6 major aquatic sports, including swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, open water swimming, water polo, and high diving, as well as competitions for adults.
