China Education Science Research Institute (CERSI) is a national-level comprehensive education scientific research institution directly under the Ministry of Education. It originated from the Central Research Institute of Education of the Communist Party of China in延安 established in 1941, and its formal establishment as the Central Institute of Education Science in 1957 was approved by the State Council and the Central Secretariat. It was renamed as China Education Science Research Institute in 2011. The National Planning Committee of Basic Education Sciences under the National Education Science Foundation is located in our institute. It consists of 13 research institutes, including the Institute of Educational Development and Reform, the Institute of Educational Theory, the Institute of Basic Education, the Institute of Higher Education, the Institute of Vocational and Continuing Education, the Institute of Course Teaching, the Institute of Educational Supervision and Assessment, the Institute of Teachers' Development and Special Education, the Institute of Physical Education, Sports, and Art Education, the Institute of International and Comparative Education, the Institute of Education Information and Statistical Data, and the Institute of Educational Legal Affairs and Educational Standards, and it publishes academic journals such as Education Research, Special Education in China, China德育, Education Weekly, etc. It also owns China Education Science Press, Audio-Visual Press, National Education Science Technology Development Center, and Training Center, etc.
